A New Jersey painter who is also a spoken word performer, Telyce J has melded her experience in both New Jersey and Texas into an eclectic manifestation of work. Telyce has recently been featured from August 16-18 at the Allentown Art Museum as part of the Art Craving Women’s Exhibition and in “The Session: A Jam Session Series” at Art Front Galleries in Newark on September 26th.
We were lucky enough to have some of her work shared with us, and we are happy to bring select pieces to The Newarker for your vibing pleasure. We enjoyed Telyce’s use of vivid color and slightly surreal geometric human aspects and color, which convey easily identifiable characters presented in moods and messages that are less literal in their emotional invocations.
