100 days of disbelief
100 days of not surprised
100 days of mean-hearted gloating
100 days of damn it all
On Day 1 – maybe I’ll live
Day 21 – there’s the cliff!
Day 63 – nothing more to give
Day 99 – out of eloquent riffs
100 days of unqualified bums
100 days of bad judgement
100 days of ignorant fun
100 days of science defunded
When lies are truth
And truth is lies
Kill the Education
Project and deny.
Why can’t we talk?
Because your brain don’t work.
They disappear dissenters, and you won’t flinch.
But who you callin’ now, in your lacked knowledge pinch?
Turns out we were smart, and you were a jerk.
It takes a cat to catch the mice, not veneer-made caulk.
History repeats
But you failed that class
No millionaire lies
Can salvage the trash
But you had a bonfire, and you thought it was cool
Until you couldn’t eat the ashes and you starved like a fool.
100 days of a loss of hope
100 days of a rudderless ship
100 days of the criminals free
100 days, there are no limits.
Destroy the honest
Worship the liars
It’s sadder that you know,
And still betray what’s righteous for emotional desire.
100 days – the dread is existential
100 days I stopped trying to talk
100 days of what the hell does it matter?
100 days, I think I’m done with it all.
100 days of Trailers Parked on the lawn,
Down in D.C.
Locking up college students,
For speech you told us was free.
So, add 100 more because my illusions are gone
But when you set us both free, did you know it was on?
