Mixology: DJ Gonzalo Silva

Originally from Union City, NJ, Gonzalo Silva started djing at 9 years old. 10 years later, he became a professional known for playing upbeat music with a global appeal. You may have seen him spinning familiar tunes with different rhythms at Newark First Fridays events in Military Park and QXT’s Nightclub. We’ve included a custom mix from Silva for you to groove to while we wait out the winter and the pandemic at home.

We suggest pairing the music with this cocktail recipe:

TIPPERARY

Served in a 5.5 oz coupe glass

1.5 oz All Points West Malt and Grain Whiskey

0.75 oz Green Chartreuse

0.75 oz Sweet Vermouth

0.50 Simple Syrup

Combine ingredients, stir with ice, strain into coupe glass, express orange peel and leave. You can make simple syrup by combining one part sugar and two parts water in a pot and boiling until mixed.
